Remedial and enriched tutoring
Tutors 2 Go provides
tutoring service to students who require remedial assistance as
well as enrichment to the regular program.
Tutors have an initial meeting in the
parent’s home to discuss the desired goals and to meet
the student. The parents and the student must be
completely satisfied that the assigned tutor is capable of
dealing with the student’s needs. Tutoring usually
lasts for one hour per session in the student’s home, but
group rates and half-hour sessions are available. Each
student has an individual program developed for him/her based
on their personal educational needs. In order to link
tutoring to the school program, our tutors contact the
student’s classroom teacher for any pertinent
information. The tutors provide continuous communication
with the parents on the student’s progress.
At the end of each tutoring term, parents
receive a written progress report detailing the specific areas
covered, the progress of the student and recommendations.
Tutors 2 Go serves
students of all ages (from Grade K to 12) and in all core
subjects.
Tutoring is usually arranged within a few
days of initial contact.
Standardized Test Preparation
Tutors 2 Go offers
preparation for such standardized tests as TAKS, SAT, and
ACT.
According to the Texas Legislature,
students in the third grade must pass the TAKS reading test in
order to move on to the fourth grade. Similarly, students
in the fifth grade must pass both the reading and math portions
of the TAKS test in order to move to the sixth grade, and
students in 11th grade must pass the math, reading, science,
and social studies portions of the TAKS test in order to
graduate from High School. Our tutors can provide the
individualized attention and tutoring necessary to help your
child pass their TAKS tests.
Referral to a Psychologist
Tutors 2 Go is
affiliated with an Educational Psychologist who can provide a
full educational and psychological assessment for your child.
